XBOX 720 Release Date
The XBOX 720 is a console which is constantly surrounded by rumours and whispers about its release date, if it is even going to be released at all. We know if definitely will however, as the Xbox is a console which has been surrounded by both controversy and rave reviews. This is a formula for success and Microsoft are not ready to let go of their baby just yet. The release date could be as soon as Spring or early 2012, which is really not that far off now. Some sources are stating that the new Xbox 720 console will be created just in time for the Christmas rush later this year, but we think that’s just a little too soon, especially since their has been no formal announcement. All signs at the moment point to Microsoft working on a brand new console, and its most likely going to be the Xbox 720, mark our words.
They won’t release the 720 for probably around 5 more years. the 360 is at the top of the class and i suspect they will just keep making the games DLC’s and updates to keep it there.they can still make alot of money of the 360. and just when everyone is getting tired of it. BAM throw out the release date for the 720. Real smart!

Pretty much all the developers new engines require new hardware, and are presuring Microsoft to release a new system soon, games are getting stale. Ex yearly sports games and certain franchises like halo and cod. Devs need new hardware for existing and future franchises to flourish. I hope it’s fall 2012.
Am absolutely with you Joshtree. It’s about time we get the new console. The 360 is far over the hill, going out the door. The present console will be supported anyway as long as it sells. Time for new blood now. Let’s welcome the awesomness of next gen gaming.
It would be awesome if the new console could read 360 games!! it would only be fair to us who paid hundreds of dollars worth of games!

I think that the maximum capacities of the 360 as been reached since 2010 already. And because the console is old, Microsoft sent out new designed models at a less cost to make a lilbit more profit out of it again. Anyways, if they still want to compete against sony and nintendo, they will have to give us something brend new in time with the releases of its competitors (something else that a stupid kinect gadget plz).

The Xbox 360′s absolute maximum capacity has been reached with Battlefield 3. It can’t run anything better than that. I expect that they’ll announce the next Xbox no later than 2013.
hey, why dont they wait in 2013 because games are releasing this year and Halo 4 is coming out the end of this year and they should just wait off! and spend time on working the graphics and processor, so more hard drive space and things like that!
Xbox360 is fine if they came out with a 720 this soon after mw3 and forza4 they’d be irritating a lot of people I’m sorry but I think 360 has another 2-5 years left on it besides they just came out with the newest 360 design within the last year 720 would be stupid to push out this soon when so many 360s would be being sold and people would be outraged if right after they get a new 360 there’s a newer better system that if they would of waited they could of had the 720 …. So about 2-5 years would be nice for those who have not yet been able to use an xbox and know what it’s all about that way when the new system comes more ppl who got a 360 this year would buy the 720 knowing xbox is the best instead of guessing ….

I think the console will probably be announced next year at E3 2012, or at least some detail of it. Think about it: The console has been around for 6 years already. There’s only so much it can handle, and to be able to handle the improved modern day graphics and performance, they need to update. I give it a 2013 release date, or at very earliest, Christmas season in 2012. That’ll give the Xbox 360 a 7 – 8 year life span, which makes sense.
I really don’t want Microsoft to release the rumored Xbox 720 in 2012. i have just recently brought the Xbox 360, and i’ll be mad-mad-mad if they release it so soon. Gears of war 3 FTW!!!
You know if we all want this new 720 to come out I bet all it would take is no more spending of dlc, games, etc for a week!! Microsoft would deff launch that bitch.. But all of us know knowbody will stop gaming even for a week
